I will fall down in my grave all alone. Well I called your name on my sinking ship. You took my hand; You kissed my lips. You turned that key as far as it could go. Well, I held my tongue and head as I told you "no". I will fall down in my grave all alone. Well I saw your face, A silhouetting ghost. With your long dark hair; those eyes sunk low. I turned and ran as far as I could go. Baby, don't you know it's so hard to dance this slow. I will fall down in my grave all alone. Just say goodbye, I don't know why you want to make this so god damned difficult. Just walk away and let me take that piece of my mind that's yours. Like it's always been. Yes I'll miss you my love. I will fall down in my grave all alone.

Well I followed you down to New Orleans where you swore a soul was to be found. But all you found was misery. Baby I would never let you down. So I followed you to London Town. all the men were standing in a row. But you never cared that much for sympathy. Baby I think I let you down. All I wanted was a forest. I could travel all my life. All I got is an empty garden. Baby, I'm gonna let you down. So I followed you to Los Angeles. Never did like doin what I was told. So I went home and I lived my life. Baby, I think I let you down. All I wanted was a forest. I could travel all my life. All I got is an empty garden. Baby, I'm gonna let you down.

Please get me a drink, I'm so god damned thirsty these days. I once drank a river dry, it didn't help much with the taste. I never shot a man I didn't like or stop to remember his face. They say that genius is borrowed; When you steal, you're just a thief. Please send me your love, I'm so god damned lonely these days. I once walked a thousand miles, it didn't help me shake her face. She never kissed a man she didn't love or stop to remember his face. They say that love is like an ocean but who's got time for seven seas? This winter madness has gotten the best of me. Those cold dark nights, and it's alone I sleep. So spend your days with a man that's in defeat. So I'll close my eyes, you can sing me anything. ------------ verses together ------------ All I wanted was right in front of me!

(studio rabble) All you know is to never look back. No. Never look book. All you see is the pain in your heart. What a great man you are. Oh, what a great man you are. Oh, what a great man you are. --------------------------------- All we know is to never look back. No. Never look book. All we see is the pain in your heart. What a great man you are. Oh, what a great man you are. Oh, what a great man you are. ---------------------------------- All I know is: I always look back. And all I feel is: The pain in my heart and the great man I'm not. No, what a great man I'm not. ----------------------------------

about

It's been a long time comin. We started this album last year while recording in a cabin in Door County. Throughout the last 15 months, there have been many productive nights in the home studio, and many moments wasted. We hope you enjoy our efforts.

Bertier Kenosha, Wisconsin

Bertier. French for "super cool." English for "take a shower". There's many projects you'll find me in, whether it be electronic, acoustic, or something not yet familiar to you. Chances are, you won't even know it. Just the way I like it.
